  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Sauté until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in the same skillet and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring well. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  7. Add the cooked bowtie pasta and mix until well coated.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Cover and let sit for 2–3 minutes until melted.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
  • This dish reheats well and is great for meal prep.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
