Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Sauté until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Melt butter in the same skillet and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring well. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Add the cooked bowtie pasta and mix until well coated.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Cover and let sit for 2–3 minutes until melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
- This dish reheats well and is great for meal prep.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
