  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing)
  • 3/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water (for slurry)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen, steamed separately)
  • Sliced green onions (optional topping)
  • Sesame seeds (optional topping)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Slice beef thinly against the grain.
  2. Set Instant Pot to Sauté mode and heat olive oil. Brown beef in batches for 1–2 minutes per side, then set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, garlic, and sesame oil.
  4. Return beef to the pot and pour sauce over it.
  5. Seal lid and pressure cook on high for 10 minutes. Allow 5-minute natural release, then quick release remaining pressure.
  6. Steam broccoli separately until just tender.
  7. Switch Instant Pot to Sauté mode. Mix cornstarch and water, then stir into sauce until thickened.
  8. Add broccoli and toss to coat evenly.
  9. Serve over rice or noodles with optional toppings.

Notes

  • Slice beef thinly for best tenderness.
  • Do not overcook broccoli to keep it crisp.
  • Adjust honey or soy sauce for sweeter or saltier taste.
