- 1.5 pounds flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing)
- 3/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
- 1/3 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water (for slurry)
- 3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen, steamed separately)
- Sliced green onions (optional topping)
- Sesame seeds (optional topping)
- Red pepper flakes (optional topping)
Instructions
- Slice beef thinly against the grain.
- Set Instant Pot to Sauté mode and heat olive oil. Brown beef in batches for 1–2 minutes per side, then set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, garlic, and sesame oil.
- Return beef to the pot and pour sauce over it.
- Seal lid and pressure cook on high for 10 minutes. Allow 5-minute natural release, then quick release remaining pressure.
- Steam broccoli separately until just tender.
- Switch Instant Pot to Sauté mode. Mix cornstarch and water, then stir into sauce until thickened.
- Add broccoli and toss to coat evenly.
- Serve over rice or noodles with optional toppings.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly for best tenderness.
- Do not overcook broccoli to keep it crisp.
- Adjust honey or soy sauce for sweeter or saltier taste.
