  • 1.5 cups long-grain white rice
  • 3 cups chicken broth or water
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Mix barbecue sauce with honey in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken thighs and sear 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Remove chicken and sauté onion and garlic for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add rice and toast for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, return chicken to skillet, and drizzle honey BBQ sauce over everything.
  6. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer 18–20 minutes until rice is tender.
  7. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with parsley before serving.
