Ingredients
Scale
- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Pat the chicken thighs completely dry with paper towels to ensure crispy skin.
- In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and baking powder.
- Rub the chicken thighs with olive oil, then coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Arrange the chicken thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken thighs skin-side up.
- Continue cooking for another 10-14 minutes until the skin is deeply golden and crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Baking powder helps create extra crispy skin in the air fryer.
- Do not overcrowd the basket to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
- Serve with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
