  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • lbs jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry and season with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until lightly golden and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  6. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
  8. Simmer briefly until everything is heated through.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired.
  10. Serve hot with rice, pasta, or crusty bread.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the shrimp or they may become rubbery.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan melts more smoothly into the sauce.
  • A squeeze of lemon juice before serving adds brightness.
