  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, boiled and shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ cup green onion, chopped
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded, divided
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese, shredded, divided

Instructions

  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  3. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine cream cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in shredded chicken, green onions, 1 cup mozzarella, and 1 cup cheddar cheese.
  5. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with remaining cheeses.
  6. Bake for 20–30 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  7. Broil for 2–3 minutes until the top is golden brown, then remove immediately.
  8. Serve warm with chips, crackers, or vegetables.

Notes

  • Chicken cooking time is not included in total time; prepare in advance if needed.
  • Substitute with about 4 cups shredded rotisserie chicken.
  • Freshly grated cheese melts better than pre-shredded.
  • Try adding blue cheese, feta, or jack cheese for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers for 2–3 days and reheat before serving.
