- 3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, boiled and shredded
- 8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- 1 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ cup green onion, chopped
- 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded, divided
- 1.5 cups cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
Instructions
- If needed, cook the chicken by boiling until fully cooked, then shred and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine cream cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder. Whisk until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in shredded chicken, green onions, 1 cup mozzarella, and 1 cup cheddar cheese.
- Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with remaining cheeses.
- Bake for 20–30 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Broil for 2–3 minutes until the top is golden brown, then remove immediately.
- Serve warm with chips, crackers, or vegetables.
Notes
- Chicken cooking time is not included in total time; prepare in advance if needed.
- Substitute with about 4 cups shredded rotisserie chicken.
- Freshly grated cheese melts better than pre-shredded.
- Try adding blue cheese, feta, or jack cheese for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers for 2–3 days and reheat before serving.
