  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to even 1-inch thickness.
  3. Season chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 5–7 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  5. Sauté mushrooms, bell pepper, and onion 5–7 minutes until tender. Stir in crumbled bacon 2–3 minutes.
  6. Place seared chicken in baking dish. Spoon vegetable and bacon mixture over chicken.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and drizzle with ranch dressing.
  8. Cover with foil and bake 25–30 minutes. Remove foil, check chicken reaches 165°F, bake 5–10 more minutes if needed.
  9. Let rest 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure even chicken thickness for consistent cooking.
  • Customize vegetables to preference.
  • Pairs well with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a garden salad.
