- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3–4 bananas)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan. Line with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix in mashed bananas.
- Add dry ingredients and chocolate chips to wet ingredients. Mix just until combined.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, until a skewer inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in pan until slightly warm, then slice and serve.
Notes
- If the top browns too quickly, tent loosely with foil.
- Do not overmix to keep the bread tender.
- Let cool before slicing for best texture.
