Crock pot cilantro lime chicken is packed with flavor, quick and easy to make. The entire family will enjoy this tasty slow-cooker meal. Serve as is or over rice.

Ingredients

  • 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 ounces)
  • 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 Tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 Tablespoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken in a crock pot.
  2. Add seasonings, chopped cilantro, and lime juice on top of the chicken.
  3. Pour tomato sauce over the chicken.
  4. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken shreds easily.
  5. Shred the chicken and stir it back into the sauce in the crock pot.
  6. Serve as is or over rice.
