- 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon cold water
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss chicken cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a mixing bowl.
- Place chicken in air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between pieces.
- Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking basket at 7-minute mark, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- While cooking, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Whisk cornstarch and cold water in a separate container, stir into saucepan, and simmer 2 minutes until thickened.
- Transfer cooked chicken to a bowl, pour glaze over chicken, and toss to coat.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use chicken thighs for juicier meat if desired, adjusting cook time slightly.
- Serve with steamed rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
- Extra glaze can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
