Ingredients

  • 4 pretzel buns or hamburger buns, toasted

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground chicken, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika until just combined.
  2. Form into 4 patties.
  3. Preheat grill or pan to medium heat. Cook patties 5–6 minutes per side until 165 °F internal temperature. In the last minute, top each patty with Swiss cheese to melt.
  4. Toast buns 1–2 minutes cut side down until lightly golden.
  5. Assemble burgers: patty on bun bottom, topped with sauerkraut and crispy fried onions, then the top bun. Serve immediately.
