  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil 2 minutes until softened.
  3. Add ground turkey and cook 5–6 minutes until browned, breaking it up evenly.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper; simmer 3–4 minutes.
  5. Layer half of zucchini slices in the dish, top with half the turkey mixture and half the mozzarella. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  6. Bake uncovered 30–35 minutes until bubbly and cheese is golden. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
