Ground Turkey Rice Bowls with Bang Bang Sauce are quick, flavorful, and perfect for weeknight dinners. Seasoned ground turkey is tossed in a spicy, tangy sauce and served over rice with fresh vegetables for a customizable meal everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil (or preferred cooking oil)
  • 23 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 12 Tbsp sriracha
  • 23 Tbsp chicken broth
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt, to taste
  • 2 tsp corn starch
  • Bang Bang Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1/21 Tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp honey
  • Rice Bowl Options:
  • Rice, shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, shelled edamame, pickled onions, avocado, shredded cabbage, sliced green onion, sesame seeds, etc.

Instructions

  1. Prepare Bang Bang Sauce by whisking all sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Chill until serving.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned and 165°F internal temperature.
  3. Add garlic, ginger, paprika, onion powder, soy sauce, sriracha, chicken broth, honey, salt, and pepper. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle corn starch over mixture and stir to thicken. Optionally, stir in 2 Tbsp Bang Bang Sauce into turkey.
  5. Assemble bowls with rice and vegetables. Top with turkey mixture and drizzle remaining Bang Bang Sauce. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Store leftovers separately; turkey 3–4 days, sauce up to 1 week.
  • Turkey mixture can be frozen; stir in Bang Bang Sauce before freezing if desired.
  • If mixture seems dry, add more soy sauce or broth.
