Ingredients

- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil (or preferred cooking oil)
- 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1–2 Tbsp sriracha
- 2–3 Tbsp chicken broth
- 2 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp sea salt, to taste
- 2 tsp corn starch
- Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1/2–1 Tbsp sriracha
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp honey
- Rice Bowl Options:
- Rice, shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, shelled edamame, pickled onions, avocado, shredded cabbage, sliced green onion, sesame seeds, etc.
Instructions
- Prepare Bang Bang Sauce by whisking all sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Chill until serving.
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned and 165°F internal temperature.
- Add garlic, ginger, paprika, onion powder, soy sauce, sriracha, chicken broth, honey, salt, and pepper. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
- Sprinkle corn starch over mixture and stir to thicken. Optionally, stir in 2 Tbsp Bang Bang Sauce into turkey.
- Assemble bowls with rice and vegetables. Top with turkey mixture and drizzle remaining Bang Bang Sauce. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Store leftovers separately; turkey 3–4 days, sauce up to 1 week.
- Turkey mixture can be frozen; stir in Bang Bang Sauce before freezing if desired.
- If mixture seems dry, add more soy sauce or broth.
