Streusel topping:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; gradually add to wet ingredients.
- Fold in nuts and chocolate chips if desired.
- Mix streusel topping ingredients until crumbly.
- Scoop dough onto sheets, sprinkle streusel on top.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden, centers soft.
- Cool 5 minutes on sheets, then transfer to wire racks.
Notes
- Optional: Swirl cream cheese frosting on cooled cookies.
- Cookies improve in flavor after a day of rest.
