- 200 g (7 oz) smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
- 1 medium cabbage (400 g), thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion (150 g), sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 medium bell pepper (150 g), optional, sliced
- 1 medium carrot (100 g), optional, julienned
- 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari (for gluten-free)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp honey or low-carb sweetener, optional
- Pinch of chili flakes, optional
Instructions
- Slice the sausage into bite-sized rounds or strips. Chop cabbage, onion, and optional veggies thinly.
- Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, and any sweeteners or spices in a small bowl for the sauce.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Brown the sausage until golden and slightly crispy, then remove and set aside.
- Sauté garlic and onion in the same pan until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add cabbage (and optional veggies), cook 3-5 minutes until softened but slightly crunchy.
- Return sausage to skillet, pour in sauce, stir to coat, and cook 2-3 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot. Garnish with sesame seeds or fresh herbs if desired.

- Optional veggies and garnishes can be added to taste.
