- 3 medium or 2 large bananas (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract or paste
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: crushed nuts, chocolate chips, peanut butter glaze or frosting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F and grease an 8½x4½-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and honey. Add eggs, mashed bananas, milk, and vanilla. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix just until combined.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and add any desired toppings.
- Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- You can double or triple the recipe using the scale options.
- Add banana slices on top for a decorative finish.
- Optional peanut butter glaze or frosting can be added for extra richness.
