Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds sirloin steak (or ribeye/strip steak)
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 4–5 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Let the steak sit at room temperature for 30 minutes, then cut it into 1-inch cubes and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak in batches for about 4 minutes total (2 minutes each side), then transfer to a plate.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, add remaining butter and minced garlic to the skillet, stirring until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
- Return the steak to the skillet, toss with the garlic butter sauce, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve as appetizers, over rice, or in tacos.
- Adjust garlic and butter amounts to taste.
- Use your preferred cut of steak for variations.
