- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Orange peel (optional, for added brightness)
Instructions
- Combine sugar and orange juice in a medium saucepan and cook over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- Continue cooking for about 10 minutes, or until most cranberries have popped, stirring frequently.
- Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup.
- Allow to cool for 30 minutes, then transfer to a bowl and chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
- Use fresh cranberries for the best flavor.
- Optional: Add orange peel for extra brightness.
- This sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to a week.
