- 12 ounces cheese tortellini
- ½ yellow onion, diced
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook Italian sausage and diced onion until the meat is no longer pink.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–45 seconds. Drain excess grease.
- Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Add marinara sauce and cooked tortellini to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Transfer mixture to an oven-safe dish, top with shredded mozzarella, and bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Serve warm.

- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
