- 12 oz (340g) spaghetti
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 oz (700g) marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1–2 cups shredded mozzarella
- Butter for greasing
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti until al dente; drain and toss with a teaspoon of olive oil.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef or sausage with onion; add garlic and cook 1 minute. Pour in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer 8–10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix hot spaghetti with cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, salt, and pepper until creamy.
- Grease a baking dish with butter and layer the cream-cheese spaghetti on the bottom.
- Spread meat sauce evenly over the pasta.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and extra Parmesan on top.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Assemble ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
- Can freeze baked or unbaked casserole up to 3 months; thaw overnight before baking.
- Customize with different pasta shapes, meats, or vegetables as desired.
