- 8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- ½ tsp salt
- 1½ tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- ¼ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp garlic olive oil
- ½ tbsp lemon olive oil
- 8 skewers (soaked if wooden)
- 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¾ tsp Cajun seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers for 30 minutes if using.
- Cut chicken thighs into even cubes and place in a mixing bowl.
- Add salt, Cajun seasoning, garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, lemon zest, and both olive oils. Toss to coat evenly.
- Thread chicken onto skewers.
- Air fry skewers at 400°F for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Melt ⅓ butter and mix with lemon juice, brown sugar, and remaining seasonings. Add remaining butter and mash until small lumps remain.
- Brush cooked skewers with lemon butter sauce and serve hot.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is fully cooked.
- Soaking wooden skewers prevents burning in the air fryer.
- Adjust Cajun seasoning and lemon zest to taste for desired flavor intensity.
